Position Description:

The Quality Control Inspector is to ensure that the components, manufactured parts and equipment meet the quality requirements of the product and meet the needs of the customer, through a detailed review of the final product and the standards that must meet it, before being shipped to the customer, to ensure the optimal quality of parts.

Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques and tools including micrometers, Vernier, (Dial and Digital) calipers, bore gages, dial indicators, scales, profilometer, hardness testing, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines, (Faro Arm or Romer Arm) in a warehouse environment.

  • Inspect mechanical parts and assemblies.

  • Retrieval of drawings from various drawing/drafting systems.

  • Complete required dimensional reports and quality documents.

  • NCR management, QN disposition in the SAP system.

  • Discuss inspection results with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering,

  • make recommendations/ adjustments to the production process.

  • NCR issuing and segregation for materials that fail to meet specifications

  • Basic knowledge of 3D inspection

Position Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or Degree

  • High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of three(3) years machine shop, quality control, or related experience (i.e. trades chool, apprentice school training, etc.) 3 years mechanical parts or OEM inspection experience Casting, forge and/or machining parts dimension inspection experience CMM (Faro Arm or Romer Arm) user will be preferred

  • Knowledge of metric measurement equipment (tools), able to interpret mechanical drawings, plans, norms.

  • Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes.

  • Calibration Experience

  • Strong knowledge in math - Geometry and Algebra


  • Minimum national NDT level 1 certificates for PT will be plus,

  • know ISO9001 or similar QMS /Lean

  • Good with computers-Ability to use and update Data base entries in Microsoft Access and Excel

  • Have or willing to become Lean / Six Sigma Have or willing to become Certified Calibration technician-CCT (ASQ)

  • Have or willing to become Certified Quality technician-CQT (ASQ)

  • Have or willing to become Certified Quality Inspector-CQI (ASQ)
