The year 2020 was challenging for everyone. There were difficulties, but the difficulties also presented opportunities. In our most recent1 benchmarking study, we reached out to business leaders to find out more about how the pandemic was impacting operational excellence at their companies and to learn more about their vision for the future. We gained perspectives on the key skills that operational excellence professionals will need moving forward. Additionally, we learned about companies’ current thinking regarding advanced analytics and advanced technology.
We were encouraged that in summary, the future looks bright. As we heard from a CEO in the oil and gas industry, “Our eyes are now open to new possibilities unlike before.”
