June 13 Program Meeting - Company Tour
TOPIC: Introduction and tour of the Empire Caterpillar engine and lower power train Components Rebuild Center (CRC).
ABSTRACT: The Components Rebuild Center (CRC) Is Empire’s state of the art facility where we rebuild engines and powertrains in support of our mining clients. We will begin the tour at the Sponge Jet cleaning area and discuss the advantages of this process, and why we chose this. We will then move to the Tear Down areas and discuss the inspection process during tear down, for the rebuild scope and reuse decision. We will move to the Cleaning area to illustrate the quality of our cleaning process and how important this area is to the rebuild. Next we will move to the Assembly Area, and discuss our parts kits, contamination control and assembly procedures. Last stop will be at the dyno area where we discuss the criteria for our first past yield metrics and expectation of test results before paint and shipping.
