The ASQ Long Island Section hosted a Zoom event on Thursday 7/16/2020 to discuss the topic - "Managing ISO QMS in a COVID 19 Environment".

Managing ISO is a challenging proposition, which is made more difficult by COVID 19. This presentation discusses its impacts to organizations and personnel. What ISO related functions are affected by COVID 19? What does it take to manage ISO documents and records efficiently? Is it possible to do an effective audit virtually? 

The speaker was Alex Kwartiroff. Alex is s a highly accomplished PMP with 25+ years of experience in project management under the AS 9100 standards, and ISO 9001 certification in the aerospace and electronic manufacturing industry. Most recently, as an independent consultant, Alex has been supporting an engineering company in a business development management role where he has prepared proposals related to navigation equipment and has participated in international Flight Inspection symposiums where he presented technical papers. Alex holds two Masters degrees - one in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NYU and a second one in Industrial Management from LIU-POST. He is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) and a QMS Lead Auditor.
