How To Measure Success Of A Product - A Webinar Organized By The Innovation Division
Building and launching a product in the marketplace is often seen as the ultimate goal of product managers or people in that role. Execution is the mantra, and people are rewarded when the product finally hits the market. Measuring the performance of the product is then an afterthought, often sparked by the need to understand the lack of traction. Metrics becomes this magic measurement that we hope can help us find the key recipe to heal all problems. A great product is not only one that does what it's supposed to do, but also one that delights its customers and delivers a great experience.
• Describe how the role of a product manager spans execution, customer focus, and measurement of outcomes
• Explain the concept of the Delivery Gap, and how to minimize it
• Incorporate metrics that focus on outcomes rather than output
• Build a product with quality and incorporate the right metrics to validate it
• Describe how measuring performance of a product requires planning from the start
