About the Speaker:

Dr. Goutam Sengupta is a professional member of ASQ and is considered a specialist in Quality Concepts and Total Quality Management. He is currently the Vice Chancellor, Techno India University, West Bengal, India, and the Chairman of Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Kolkata, a nationally recognized body propagating Quality Concepts in India.

Dr. Sengupta is on the Advisory Board of Federation of Small and Medium Industries (FOSMI), the leading body for SMEs in the eastern part of India. He has institutionalized Lean practices in SMEs. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur teaching six sigma and agile methodologies, and Chairman of the Board of Institution of Valuers-Registered Valuers Foundation, a premier valuation educational conglomerate in India. He is a former General Manager at Philips and former Director of Calcutta Business School. Dr. Sengupta is a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and a PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has the rare distinction of turning around industries by application of Total Quality Management (TQM) skills.
