The ASQ Food, Drug, & Cosmetic (FDC) Division wanted to give a special thank you and recognition to Tatiana Miranda for her all her years of volunteer service to the Division. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and expertise she has provided to our community over the years. Her commitment to the FDC Division has been instrumental in supporting our ongoing initiatives, and we want to ensure her contributions are celebrated.
Tatiana has been an ASQ member since 2013 through a Corporate ASQ Membership. In 2016, she attended the SoCal Dietary Supplement Consortium at the FDA office, where she met leaders from ASQ's FDC Division and began serving as the Regional Counselor for Foods Region 7.
In 2018, she was appointed Lead, Center of Excellence - Foods, a role she held until 2026. During her tenure, she worked to strengthen member engagement, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote collaboration among food quality and food safety professionals. She led initiatives that supported the growth and success of the Food Community of Excellence while fostering connections across ASQ divisions and industry sectors.
In recognition for her contributions to the profession, she received the ASQ Food, Drug & Cosmetic Division's William Golomski Award in 2019. This award recognizes a unique achievement by an individual or group member who has promoted the practice of quality in the food, drug, or cosmetic industry.
In 2020-2021, she received the Food Community of Excellence Award from the FDC Division. This award is presented to members who have made the most significant contributions to the success of their Community of Excellence during the year.
Since 2023, she has served as the liaison between the FDC Division and ASQ's Audit Division for its annual conference. In this role, she has helped strengthen collaboration between the food and audit communities and supported the development of a dedicated FDC auditor track, enhancing educational opportunities for professionals working in food safety, quality, and auditing.
Throughout her ASQ volunteer service, she has also supported the relationship with the Southern California Institute of Food Technologists (SCIFTS), helping coordinate activities and engagement at Supplier's Night events. In addition, she has represented the FDC Division at the World Conference on Quality & Improvement (WCQI) and the Audit Division Conference, assisting with division booths and member outreach efforts. These experiences have allowed her to contribute to professional development, volunteer engagement, and cross-divisional collaboration throughout ASQ.
Over more than a decade of membership and volunteer leadership, she has loved her FDC colleagues, friends, and coworkers she has worked with, supporting FDC members, & promoting food safety and quality excellence!
As of July 17, 2026, she has stepped down from her role as the Lead for the Center of Excellence-Foods. We cannot thank her enough for her years of service and dedication.
